Book Delivery (For Members of the Graduate School and the Faculty of Economics)

You can request delivery of books that are not held at the Library of Economics from other University of Tokyo libraries.
Materials from the General Library or laboratories, and those that are damaged, cannot be delivered.

* Those with disability may request book delivery from the General Library. Please consult the Library of Economics’ Service Section.

How to Apply

Applying through MyOPAC

  1. Log in to MyOPAC
  2. Search for materials you need using search tools such as “CiNii Books”.
  3. Click the “Copy/Borrow from other univ.” button displayed on the material’s OPAC search results page and follow the on-screen instructions.

Applying at the Circulation Desk

Please apply at the Library of Economics circulation desk during opening hours.
The following information is required:

  • Title of material
  • Volume, issue, and year of publication (if necessary)
  • Holding library
  • Call number

Receiving Materials

Delivery time depends on the location of the material.
The library will notify you by email when your materials arrive and will hold them for a week. Please come to the library to receive them.

From Hongo/Komaba Campus

The afternoon of the application day or the next day, except on Saturdays and when the library is closed

From Campuses other than Hongo or Komaba

2 to 4 days after the application, except on Saturdays and when the library is closed

Returning

You can return University of Tokyo library materials to any University of Tokyo library.

  • If the holding libraries provide any instructions, please follow them.
