This service is for members of the Graduate School of Economics and Faculty School of Economics only.

Books

Type How to Make an Acquisition Request
Undergraduate Students General Books Make a request through MyOPAC.
Graduate Students General Books Make a request through MyOPAC.
Valuable Books Make a request by filling out the “Acquisition Request Form: Valuable Books” to the Acquisition Section.
Members of the Faculty General Books, Recommended Books, Reserved Books, Course Books Make a request by writing down Book Type and the specifications (title, author, edition, publisher, ISBN, etc.) to the Acquisition Section. “Acquisition Request Form: Books” may also be used for these materials.
Valuable Books Make a request by filling out the “Acquisition Request Form: Valuable Books” to the Acquisition Section.

Book Types

Type Description
General Books (Ippan Tosho) Books which are purchased based on: recommendations from faculty members, selection by the Library or requests from students.
Located in the library stacks.
Valuable Books (Kogaku Tosho) Library materials which exceed 100,000 yen in acquisition price. Acquisitions are made after the request is approved by the Tosho Sentei Iinkai (Library Materials Selection Committee).
Located in the library stacks.
Recommended Books (Shitei Tosho) Books assigned by faculty members who have lectures/seminars in the Faculty of Economics or the Graduate School of Economics.
Loaned only to undergraduate and graduate students. Located in the 3rd floor reading room.
Reserved Books (Reserve Tosho) Books used in courses, as designated by a faculty member of the Graduate School of Economics for the relevant school year. For graduate school classes.
Not loaned out. Located in the 3rd floor reading room.
Course Books (Jugyoyo Tosho) Books necessary to prepare course lectures.
Located in each faculty’s office.

Periodicals

How to Make an Acquisition Request
Graduate Students Make a request by filling out the “Acquisition Request Form: Periodicals” to the Acquisition Section. A recommendation from the thesis supervisor and the approval of the Tosho Sentei Iinkai member of the group to which the student belongs are necessary.
Members of the Faculty Make a request by filling out the “Acquisition Request Form: Periodicals” to the Tosho Sentei Iinkai member.
